Overview
PVC door curtains or insulation screens are used for a variety of applications
such as internal/external partitions, eg warehouse doors, garages and food
manufacturing
facilities
where they are used as barrier against fumes, dust, insects and birds as
well as helping to keep the heat in during winter. Other applications include
noise reduction between quiet areas of factories, eg quality control and
customer service.
Types
Of Door Curtains
We supply three main types of door curtain, standard, ribbed and double ribbed
as well as specialist low temperature grades for both cold stores and deep freeze
environments. All curtains are made from cadmium & silicone free material,
offer
good
chemical & abrasion
resistance, and are hard wearing. Ribbed door curtains are available with day
glo
buffer strips.

Applications
Clear Safestrip is ideal for general non demanding applications such as non-vehicular
doorways, internal partitions and noise control. For doorways used by fork
trucks, pallet trucks and small vehicles a thicker grade of PVC curtain is
recommended with a reinforcing buffer/rib. This helps against the stress
and strain associated with these environments. For heavy duty use including
articulated lorry loading and heavy industry the double ribbed Safestrip
is more appropriate. Coldstore and deep freeze environments can also be
catered for. Where visibility is important, the Day Glo Safestrip highlights
the
curtains, especially useful in low light conditions, an aid for drivers of
reversing vehicles and hazardous environments.
